About
For over thirty years Robyn Hughes has been extensively involved in the arts as a multi-disciplinary artist, researcher and lecturer. Since 2012 Robyn's inspiration has been military history, visually narrating and documenting the Second World War and World War I with her painting series 'Into Cassino', and more recently 'Passchendaele'. Her works capture a narrative of voices, events, and terrain, as contemplative paintings that encourage reflection rather than a specific response. Her historical works stand at the interface of art and commemoration.
Robyn spends her time between New Zealand and Italy where she exhibits her work.
